The Goodwe GW3648D-ES solar inverter is hybrid/bidirectional, it works in both grid-connected systems and isolated systems.
The energy generated by the PV system is used to optimize the system's self-consumption. The surplus energy is used to charge batteries, and the remaining energy can be fed back into the grid. The battery can be discharged to support loads when the PV energy is not sufficient to cover the self-consumption demands. If the photovoltaic and battery energy are insufficient, the system will consume energy from the grid to support the connected loads.
The stored energy can be supplied when the loads require it at all times, even during the night. Additionally, the battery can be charged from the grid by the inverter, for example during off-peak electricity tariff periods.
Improving self-consumption: the battery system stores excess energy generated by the PV field to inject solar energy into the grid and avoid restricting solar production. When solar production is weak, the battery discharges to help with load consumption.
Providing backup for critical loads: the battery stores solar energy or takes energy from the grid to cover the energy needs during power outages. Loads such as refrigerators, routers, lamps, computers, and other essential appliances continue to receive power when the grid fails. The system can automatically switch to backup mode in 8 milliseconds.
Scheduled programming: By setting the charge and discharge time, the battery can be charged with electricity generated during off-peak hours and discharged to power loads during peak hours.

The inverter comes with a 5-year warranty. The warranty will be applicable as long as the device has been used following the recommendations and respecting the compatibility between the parts.
