The Grundfos SQFlex pumps can be very useful in places where we need the pump to operate even at night, as we can connect it to different power sources, such as wind turbines, batteries, generators, or even the electrical grid.
Another advantage it has is the built-in dry well probe in the pump itself. It allows us to protect the installation and the motor in case our well runs out of water. When the water level is lower than the dry well probe, the pump disconnects. It reconnects automatically when the water level exceeds it and remains above the probe for 5 minutes.
In a horizontal installation, it is necessary for the water level to be above the pump, and the probe must be at least 30 to 60 cm above the pump to ensure protection against dry operation.
For high or low voltage:
When the voltage to the pump is unstable, undesirable voltage "jumps" can occur. The pump will stop if the voltage falls outside the operating range. The motor will start automatically when the voltage is within the Grundfos SQFLEX Pump operating range.
This can also occur due to an unstable power source or faulty installation.
Additionally, the segmented motor stator significantly contributes to high efficiency.
Overload protection:
The motor will stop for 10 seconds. After this time, the pump will attempt to start again automatically. Overload protection prevents the motor from being damaged, so no external protection is needed for the motor of the Grundfos SQFLEX Pump.
High-temperature protection:
The operating temperature of the Grundfos SQFLEX Pump is above 85°C. The motor will automatically disconnect when the temperature drops to 75°C, and the motor of the Grundfos SQFLEX Pump will restart automatically.

The built-in electronic unit provides a series of advantages to the SQFlex system when compared to other pumps on the market. The main one is the built-in microprocessor with MPPT.
