The new Optimizer Smart PV Huawei SUN2000P-600W is the evolution of the SUN2000P-450W. This allows optimizing the operation of a solar panel within a string of panels connected to a Huawei inverter from the SUN2000 series L1, M1, M2, and M3.
Thanks to this optimizer, when a shadow falls on one of the panels with the optimizer, the total performance of the string will not be affected, increasing the total production of the installation.
The maximum nominal power of the panel is 600W +-5%
In a solar panel string, the voltages of the panels are added and their intensity tends to equalize to the lowest value. If one of the panels is affected by shade or is oriented differently within the string, it will reduce the overall performance of the panel string. When optimizers are used, the balance between voltage and intensity is adjusted so that the performance loss does not affect the rest of the panels.
The advantage of the Smart PV Huawei system is that the optimizer can be placed only on the panels that require it, unlike systems like Solaredge, which require optimizers to be incorporated into all panels.
Panel-by-panel monitoring can be obtained through optimizers thanks to the MBUS CC connection. With this, we can monitor the power and performance of each panel. Communication is carried out via PLC through the direct current wiring coming from the panels.

Another highlighted feature of the Smart PV Huawei SUN2000P-600W Optimizer is that it allows the panel to be turned off so that it does not generate voltage, ensuring the safety of the installation in case of an accident or breakdown, as well as the safety of the personnel performing maintenance and/or repairs.
The Smart PV Huawei SUN2000P-600W Optimizer has an IP68 protection rating and comes with an accessory to be installed beneath the solar panel frame to which it is connected. It has a 1m cable for easy connection.
It supports an input of 600W, with a tolerance of +5%, allowing for the installation of modules up to 630W, although the output would be limited to 600W. In any case, the STC conditions of irradiation and temperature, at which the panel reaches its maximum power, are rarely met, so there would be no issue with installing 630W panels without performance loss.
The working voltage range is 10-80V, and the short-circuit current is 15A, making it incompatible with G12 Half Cut cell panels, which typically have 18A.
It should be noted that these optimizers are compatible with other inverter brands, although they cannot be monitored.
It is mentioned that they could be installed in Sun2000L inverter strings, but monitoring would not be possible.
For complete panel-by-panel monitoring, these optimizers must be included in the entire string.
