The MultiPlus-II combines the functions of the MultiPlus and the MultiGrid.
It has all the features of the MultiPlus and also the option to install an external current transformer to enable PowerControl and PowerAssist and to optimize self-consumption with an external current sensor (max. 32A).
It also has all the features of the MultiGrid with integrated anti-islanding and a growing list of countries that have already approved it.
PowerAssist
The MultiPlus-II can prevent overloads from a limited AC source, such as a generator or a shore power connection. First, it will automatically reduce the battery load when, if not done, an overload would occur. Secondly, it will draw current from the battery to compensate for the generator or grid power supply.
ESS: Energy Storage System
The MultiPlus-II is the key component of a Victron ESS system, as it offers the flexibility to combine it with MPPT solar chargers or grid-tied PV inverters. You can find examples and more detailed information in the ESS (Energy Storage System) Manual.
Uninterrupted AC power supply (UPS function)
In the event of a blackout or disconnection from the shore power or generator, the inverter integrated in the Multi will automatically activate and take over the supply to power the connected loads. This happens so quickly (less than 20 milliseconds) that computers and other electronic equipment continue to operate without interruption.
Remote Monitoring and Control
If you pair it with a GX device (e.g. a Cerbo GX), you can monitor and control your Multi and your system or systems locally (LAN) or remotely over the Internet from anywhere in the world with the free VRM app and the free VRM portal. Access can be done from a phone, tablet, or PC with different operating systems. The level of control has no limit, from adjusting your Multi to automatically starting a backup generator and much more...
