PowerAssist
The MultiPlus-II can prevent overloads from a limited AC source, such as a generator or a shore power connection. First, it will automatically reduce the battery load when an overload would occur if it didn't. Second, it will draw current from the battery to compensate for the generator or grid power supply.
ESS: Energy Storage System
The MultiPlus-II is the key component of a Victron ESS system, as it offers the flexibility to combine it with MPPT solar chargers or grid-tied PV inverters. You can find examples and more detailed information in the ESS (Energy Storage System) Manual.
Uninterrupted AC power (UPS function)
In case of a blackout or disconnection from the shore power or generator, the integrated inverter in the Multi will automatically activate and take over the supply to power the connected loads. This happens so quickly (less than 20 milliseconds) that computers and other electronic equipment continue to operate without interruption.
Remote monitoring and control
If you pair it with a GX device (e.g. a Cerbo GX), you can monitor and control your Multi and your system or systems locally (LAN) or remotely over the Internet from anywhere in the world using the free VRM app and the free VRM portal. Access can be done from a phone, tablet, or PC with different operating systems. The level of control is limitless, from adjusting your Multi to automatically starting a backup generator and much more...
