Transform your grid-connected solar installation with APsystems microinverter, into a new one with battery backup, without changing your installed inverter, you can switch to hybrid. With this kit featuring the APsystems ELS-5K Inverter (Retrofit), you can add lithium batteries.
The retrofit kit consists of the following products:

The retrofit kit allows adding storage without changing the APsystems microinverter, being able to store energy and discharge it when needed.
Another interesting application is its use in homes without a photovoltaic installation, being able to program charging during off-peak hours and discharging during peak hours.
This inverter cannot be connected to photovoltaic modules.
The APsystems ELS-5K inverter allows us to connect a lithium battery to any self-consumption installation where we already have a grid inverter or microinverter, allowing us to store excess renewable energy to supply it to loads from the battery when necessary. For example, when renewable energy is not sufficient, we increase the self-consumption rate from 20% to 70%.
It has a built-in emergency power output (EPS) to power the house after a power outage, with a transfer time of less than 3ms and a maximum output power of 5000W.
APsystems ELS-5K is a bidirectional inverter-charger (Retrofit), its main function is to connect a 48V lithium battery to any self-consumption installation.
The ELS-5K can control the bidirectional flow of electrical energy, work automatically, manually, or even schedule a time to charge the battery from the grid during nighttime off-peak periods.
In automatic mode, the APsystems ELS-5K will store excess renewable energy in the battery to later discharge the battery and supply power to the loads when solar energy is insufficient.
