APsystems ELS-5K is a bi-directional inverter-charger (Retrofit), which allows the installation of 48V lithium batteries in the APsystems microinverter system.
Together with compatible low-voltage batteries connected, the solar photovoltaic system becomes a great energy storage solution.
The automatic energy management, based on proprietary software, and the EMA monitoring, which monitors jointly with the microinverters, allows installation users to choose between backup, self-consumption, and peak time modes to ensure critical loads during power outages and maximize energy savings in their homes.
APsystems ELS-5K Inverter is a bidirectional inverter-charger that allows our microinverter installation to incorporate 48V batteries.
It has a charging and discharging capacity of 100A, sustainably discharging 5000W and supporting peaks of 7500W.
It can be paralleled for operation in single-phase and three-phase networks (pending certification, one APstorage ELS-5K per phase).
It features an autoadaptive BMS for controlling low-voltage lithium batteries. Communication with the batteries is through the CAN port. Currently compatible, among others, with the Soluna EOS 5K batteries that can be found at El Almacén Fotovoltaico. BATTERY SOLUNA
It has a compact design with ventilation by convection. The protection rating is IP65.
Regarding connectivity, it has high-power Zigbee 8.94 dBm for connection to the microinverters, and a built-in ECU-C to which 3 toroidals can be added for installation on the service entrance and 3 toroidals for the line coming from the microinverters. The inverter includes 2 units of toroidal for single-phase installation as standard. It also incorporates Wifi connection for internet access. It has RS485 ports for interconnecting inverters and paralleling them.
The APsystems ELS-5K inverter includes a backup output always powered so that in case of a power outage it can continue to supply energy from the battery and panels. This output is 100A allowing a discharge of 5000W.

Configuration and monitoring are done through the mobile app EMA, available for both IOS and Android.
The inverter has a 5-year warranty. The warranty will be applicable as long as the device has been used following the recommendations and respecting the compatibility between the parts.
At El Almacén fotovoltaico, you can buy the inverter separately or purchase a kit for self-consumption installation along with panels, structure, panels, wiring, and other accessories.
