Energy Certificate prior to RD 19/2021

Our architecture department is responsible for issuing the initial and final certificate for your home. This initial certificate is prior to the photovoltaic installation, and marks the starting point to make improvements, and to access subsidies and discounts on income tax.

If your home achieves at least a 30% reduction in non-renewable primary energy, you can qualify for a direct 40% and 60% reduction in income tax for the following 3 years.

In addition to being able to qualify for different aids for carrying out these procedures, you obtain added value for a future sale of your home.

This certificate is a technical report that evaluates the energy efficiency of the building and assigns a rating on a scale of letters, from A (most efficient) to G (least efficient).

Royal Decree 19/2021, published in the Official State Gazette on March 4, 2021, establishes the technical standards for evaluating the energy efficiency of existing buildings and for the preparation of the Initial Energy Certificate.

It is a mandatory document in Spain that evaluates the energy efficiency of buildings and assigns a rating on a scale of letters. It is required for all new buildings and for those undergoing a renovation that involves a change of use or a modification of their envelope.

The purpose of the Initial Energy Certificate is to improve the energy efficiency of buildings and reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
