Once the initial and subsequent energy certificates are completed, if your home achieves at least a 30% reduction in non-renewable primary energy, you may be eligible for a direct 40% and 60% reduction in income tax for the following 3 years.
Legalizing a photovoltaic installation is an essential step if you want to access the subsidies offered by the government to promote renewable energies.
These grants are available for individuals and small businesses, and can cover between 40 and 90% of the total installation cost. There is also a specific subsidy available for electric vehicle chargers, as long as they are part of a photovoltaic installation. Regarding bonuses, they can affect the Property Tax (IBI) or other types of tax reductions, depending on each municipality.
These procedures are not currently possible in the autonomous communities of Galicia and Extremadura.
The energy efficiency certificates provided in the previous sections must have been issued and registered in accordance with the provisions of Royal Decree 390/2021, of June 1, which approves the basic procedure for the energy efficiency certification of buildings.
The previous deductions are incompatible with each other regarding the same work.
The amounts must be paid, by credit or debit card, bank transfer, nominative check, or deposit into accounts in credit institutions, to the individuals or entities carrying out such works, as well as to the individuals or entities issuing the aforementioned certificates, deducting any amounts that have been or will be subsidized through a public aid program. In no case will payments made in legal tender entitle you to a deduction.
