Technical characteristics
The new DS3-H inverter from APsystems boosted with 960W output, ensures high efficiency and maximum reliability thanks to its 2 independent MPPT inputs and a maximum continuous output power of up to 960 watts which improves on the previous model. It supports solar panels from 300W to 660W, and a maximum input voltage of 60V.
The structures of the solar panels are not included as standard in the kit, due to the variety of supports, types of roofs, and locations where we can place the solar panels.
If you are unsure about which one to choose, do not hesitate to contact us. At El Almacén Fotovoltaico, we offer the following products:
- For sloped roofs, we can choose coplanar solar panel structures for sloped or tilted roofs.
- For flat roofs, we must choose a solar panel structure for flat roofs with a tilt of 15º or 30º
Remember that the microinverters are designed to be placed on the back of the modules. If your installation will be done in a different location or separate from the panels, you will need solar cable and connectors. At El Almacén Fotovoltaico, we have CABLES WITH MC4, or LOOSE CABLE and MC4 CONNECTORS for solar installations.
Operating modes
- Grid connection: These microinverters operate connected to the grid, synchronizing with it.
- Isolated: This microinverter does not operate in off-grid mode.
- AC-Coupling: This inverter can operate in AC-Coupling with Victron Multiplus inverters. It is installed in the AC-Out of the inverter. When the battery is full, the Multiplus raises the frequency and stops the microinverter from producing. In a few months, it will be available with an update that includes a specific network code for this operation, so that it is able to perform Frequency Shifting. With this operation, the microinverter will regulate to produce only the power demanded by the load instead of cutting off.
Batteries
APsystems offers a new inverter/charger (retrofit), which complements the DS3, the ELS-5K. With this and the Soluna EOS 5K Lithium battery pack 5.1kWh 48V, you can store the energy generated by the installation.

Monitoring
The DS3 inverter has wireless connection, communications via Zigbee protocol, and connects to the monitoring systems Ecu-C, Ecu-B, and Ecu-R. These will communicate wirelessly with our mobile terminal for commissioning and also for detailed monitoring.
Its configuration and monitoring is done through the mobile EMA application, available for both IOS and Android.

Warranty
The inverter comes with a 10-year warranty. The warranty will apply as long as the device has been used following the recommendations and respecting the compatibility between the parts. You can extend the warranty to 20 years for a small fee by contracting it on our website.
