The SHINGLED technology stands out for the absence of connection ribbons between the cells assembled in series. Unlike a traditional design, the active surface of the module is optimized to the maximum.
The cells are cut into pieces, then assembled into chains connecting the front and back faces with a conductive electrically adhesive paste (ECA).
This ECA replaces the soldered copper tape, creating a flexible interconnection and avoiding thermal and mechanical stresses at the silicon/tape interface that can lead to crack development in the cells.
With the overlapping cells, better heat dissipation reduces the risk of damage at the hot spot, and there are lower resistive losses and a 0.34% reduction in the low power thermal coefficient.
With fewer gaps and a larger active area, the PUMA series offers high module efficiency.
