It has the Peak Shaving function, which allows reducing the contracted power. Thanks to our software, the battery is automatically programmed to be consumed during peak demand, resulting in a reduction in demand on the grid.

It has a color LCD screen for monitoring and programming the equipment without the need for a mobile app or computer. This sets it apart from its competitors, as the trend seems to be towards inverters without screens.
The new improved version supports input for each MPPT of 26A + 13A, noting that it has two MPPT inputs, making it compatible with the new 182-cell panels.
It has a switch to switch from grid mode to isolated mode, allowing the user to decide at all times how to manage their installation.
Another function is the Peak Shaving option. When the load exceeds the contracted nominal power or the nominal power of the generator set, it activates the battery output of the inverter to avoid exceeding it.
Within the versatility of the SunBox, there is the possibility of connecting other batteries or an external power generator, so we can use it both to charge our system and to provide the necessary energy to our installation. It comes with protection for this Gen Port, for an input from a generator or generator set with a maximum power value of 10,000W. If a generator is not desired, an extension of the installation can be connected to this port, with microinverters or inverters, available at El Almacén Fotovoltaico, with a maximum power of 10,000W. The last option is the Smart Load or Intelligent Load, which receives energy when the battery SOC and the solar energy are above a threshold programmable by the user.
For example, if an auxiliary electric water heater is connected to this output, with this functionality, it can be programmed that, if the battery SOC is above 95% and the solar production is more than 500W, the water heater will be heated with that surplus energy.
On the downside, it includes as a complement to passive cooling, a fan that activates when the inverter has high demand. Although it may produce some noise, it extends the inverter's useful life.
The inverter is ready to operate with or without batteries. If operating with batteries, it can charge and discharge up to 100A. It includes a backup output of 100A. The batteries are 48V low voltage.
The Backup output will allow critical loads to always be connected to this output. In the event of a power outage, the Backup output has a switching speed of 4ms, making it suitable for protecting computer equipment, among others.
The inverter incorporates a BMS that monitors the operation of the lithium battery and does not allow it to work exceeding the parameters for which it has been designed. Thanks to the CAN port, it communicates with compatible batteries for proper operation and monitoring.

For measuring household consumption, an indirect measurement toroidal is included to read imported or exported energy. If the supply point is far from the inverter, an energy meter can be installed, wired via RS-485 protocol.

Warranty:
The inverter comes with a 5-year warranty. The warranty will apply as long as the device has been used following the recommendations and respecting the compatibility between the parts.
The warranty is provided by the Spanish company Turbo Energy S.L. based in Valencia.

The SunBox 5.0 has all the necessary certificates for its operation and legalization, regardless of the distribution company. It includes the CE marking, compliance with Grid Connection Standard RD1699, safety standards IEC/EN62109-1 & -2, EMC EN61000-6-1, EN61000-6-2, EN61000-6-3, EN61000-6-4, EN61000-4-16, EN61000-4-18, and EN61000-4-29.
